About me

I have worked in a social work setting for over 15 years, working in the youth offending service, early intervention, family support (child in need and child protection), children in care, children with disabilities and children seeking asylum. I work with families at the point of crisis to address safeguarding concerns and provide a service or support. 

Following a career as a social worker, I trained as an Executive Coach with the Institute of Leadership and Development and is an experienced Executive Coach working with Managers, Directors and CEO’s from the private and public sector. I has also worked with start ups and established entrepreneurs to support them to create, develop and grow their business. I also works with individuals to support them to assimilate into a new role, prepare for staff appraisals or positions of leadership. 

I have a holistic approach to support you to develop a deeper sense of self. I will work with you to support you to implement preventative measures to address burnout impacting you with a feeling of anxiety, overwhelm, fatigue, indecisiveness and forgetfulness. 

I have a coaching style filled with energy, passion and enthusiasm. I will motivate and inspire you to create balance you personal and professional life.

I provide face to face and online training sessions, tailored to your organisations specific needs.  The interactive online sessions provide flexibility and convenience.  

I offer a blended hybrid learning, with a combination of face to face and online training for a  comprehensive learning experience. 

The group coaching program is dedicated to empowering Black social workers to achieve their personal and professional goals.

The 10 week group coaching course will support you to explore resolutions to barriers and challenges and help you to develop practical solutions to implement meaningful change, while being accountable for your own actions. 

I also offer one to one coaching as a one off session, three sessions or six sessions. 

The sessions will assist you  to create balance in your life.

Introduction to Safeguarding: 

Understanding the basics of safeguarding, including key principles and legal frameworks. 

 
Multi agency working: The training will focus on collaboration and sharing information with safeguarding professionals.

Reporting and responding to safeguarding concerns: Guidance on how to document and report concerns  when responding to safeguarding issues.    

Recognising signs of abuse:  Identifying different types of abuse and neglect and recognising the signs and indicators.  

Cultural awareness: Effectively working with children and families with an understanding of cultural humility, leading to better outcomes. 

The impact of prejudice, discrimination and racism: Address prejudice, discrimination, oppression and racism. Provide strategic tools to support professionals navigate barriers and challenges.

The talks are on critical subjects such as prejudice, discrimination, oppression and racism in social work education and practice. 

The talks will educate, inform and facilitate meaningful change within individuals and organisations by addressing critical issues such as:

- Cultural competence

- Intersectionality with a focus on race and gender

- The impact of prejudice, discrimination, oppression and racism on Black women.

The talks aim to create equity for Black women in social work education and social work practice.
